I love spending time with my husband and furry babies, reading, crocheting, watching monster movies with a giant vat of popcorn and going out to dinner at new restaurants. Life is an adventure waiting to be explored.

Nestled in the shadowy thoroughfares of Salem, Bridget has created a new life for herself. Saved from the noose by the mysterious Mr. Black during the witch trials, she runs Broomstix, a thriving curse worker and hex shop. Dangerous cravings thrust her back in harm’s way as evil stalks the streets. Will the allure of the forbidden be her curse or her salvation?

Alistair is a wolf caught between desire and duty to his pack. His Alpha goes missing and evidence of arcane magic and murder come a little too close to home. A chance encounter at a Halloween party brings his beast to the forefront and one night of passion leaves him wanting much, much more.

A war is brewing in Salem between the wolves and witch kind. When more deaths are found linked to rogue wolves, the two join forces. But wild magic reigns on Samhain and the moon may just have a mind of her own…

Excerpt from Malediction by Erzabet Bishop

Alistair spotted the gorgeous brunette across the room and,
when she approached the refreshment table, he followed. For a millisecond he’d
taken her for the scrawny woman in the red dress, but on closer inspection he
was pleased to note the differences. Same dress, but the way this woman wore
it, he was tempted to peel it from her, inch by scrumptious inch.
 His pack mate had
poured a few bottles of something into the punch and, while it was entertaining
to watch some of the guests succumb to the antics of the season, he didn’t
quite feel the same about the sexy female in front of him. This woman would be
far more interesting sober, he had a hunch and his predictions usually turned
out to be spot on. The markings on her arms intrigued him and he wondered if
they covered more of her body. Like tendrils of smoke curling around her flesh,
they spiraled around her skin in an unending pattern, giving him the urge to
trace every single one and see where it led.
He should be home at Briarwood, but his duties as Beta
brought him here to make sure Jessup didn’t get too out of hand. So far the pup
had been a bit mischievous, but nothing that would make him worry. Whatever
concerns he had melted when he gazed at the beauty in front of him, his animal
taking control.
Serious gray eyes winked at him from behind an elegant lacy
black mask and he had the urge to peek beneath it to see what she was hiding.
Full lips bowed below the mask, and her mass of dark hair was wound into an
up-do that he longed to plunge his fingers into while he explored her mouth
with his.
Jesus, Alastair. Get a grip.
His wolf perked up when she’d come into view and his
instinct to bed her followed in quick succession. He shook it off with a frown.
One night stands were not his style, especially with women he didn’t know. He
had other concerns and, as soon as he made sure Jessup wasn’t going to fuck up
and intoxicate half of the wealthier citizens of Salem, he was out of here.
Duncan was still missing and he’d left Laurel in charge in his stead.
But, her eyes. Fuck. They fairly glowed with a power that
socked him in the gut as they watched him from behind the mask. When she wet
her lips and took her bottom lip between her teeth, he almost lost the battle
with himself not to let his beast take over and drag her into the nearest coat
closet.
“Are you here with someone?” He cleared his throat, aware of
the growl threading through his voice.
“No. Are you?”
“Just a couple of friends. What do you think? Want to end up
in a compromising situation with a stranger?” He grinned and, seeing Jessup
approach, steered her away from the refreshment table. Alistair wanted her to
himself, at least for a little while.
“Seven deadly sins? How about a dance? With my footwork,
that could lead towards all kinds of infractions.”
“Hmm.” He swung her into his arms and into the crowd,
relishing the sensation of his hand on her lower back. The plunging view
offered by her bodice made his body stand at attention and the wolf beneath his
skin whined with want. “So, which deadly sin could you possibly have that would
sink a guy faster than lust? That dress…”
“These shoes.”
“Oh, but those… those are not a sin. Not at all. In fact, I
could look at them all night long.”
“You could, could you?” The woman laughed, deep and sensual.
Her eyes snapped with amusement. “Then you try wearing them.”
“Maybe I will.” He wanted her, and the closer they got, the
more obvious it was going to become. He weaved her around the dance floor, her
movements matching his. Her perfume and the spicy scent of her hair were making
it hard to concentrate. At the look in her eyes, he dragged her back hard
against him, his animal wild in his blood.
“Do you want to get out of here?”
“Please.”
 “Let’s get some air.”
Alistair led her out onto the balcony, the twinkle lights flickered making the
grounds outside the hotel look enchanted. He had to clear his head.
“Who are you?” Alistair brushed a strand of hair away from
her face.
“I’m just a girl who needs an escape from reality. How about
you?”
“Same here.”
“Just a girl, huh?” The mystery woman smiled.
He gathered her into his arms, letting her feel the full
force of his arousal. “I don’t know. I’m not feeling much like a girl right
now.”
“No. I didn’t think you were.” She leaned into his embrace,
her lips curving up in an inviting smile.
“What’s your name?”
“Bridget. Yours?”
“Alistair.”
“Well, Alistair. It’s nice to meet you. I have one
question.”
“What’s that?”
“How long is it going to take for you to kiss me?”
“Time me.” Alistair’s mouth covered hers hungrily and he
forced her mouth open with his thrusting tongue. She gasped, trembling within
his embrace and he pulled her deeper into the shadows, away from prying eyes.

Spending time with my family, Books (reading and writing them), TV, Chocolate, the Fall/Winter time of Year… It’s hard to stop, Candles, Yoga, lol There are so many things to love about life!!!

Kamillia is an author of paranormal romances living in an upscale suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Accused of being an actual witch by an ambitious group of businessmen with a dark agenda, she is surprised when she finds a man who resembles one of her fictional, alpha male heroes at her door offering his protection.

Luca is an immortal Watcher from the River of Light. Sent to Earth to help Kamillia, whose true heritage has yet to be revealed to her, Luca is caught off guard by the fighting spirit of the woman, and unnerved by the way his human body betrays him in her presence.

Research for her next novel requires Kamillia to travel to Salem, MA the week of Halloween, where she and Luca are forced to join together, overcome numerous obstacles, and conquer the evil of many centuries blocking a portal. Only then can she return to the problems awaiting her in her own city, with or without this stranger who has captured her heart but cannot share her future.

Prologue
Shores of Pickering Wharf
Salem, MA
Week of Halloween

The hefty breeze pushed the small, blue, rolling waves into white, jagged peaks with the same urgency he felt inside as he sat gazing out upon the vastness of the water. Leaning against a weathered retaining wall with an audible sigh, Luca glanced behind him at the blue-gray haze over the small town cityscape silhouette. The pollution, a mixture of smoke and sky, presented itself as an omen of great significance to him. He knew the buildings, along with some of the houses beyond, already held within them the inhabitants he’d both come to protect and come to battle. In his five hundred years as a Watcher, the energy of the Earth had changed, negatively affecting the human condition.

He viewed their existence from his realm on a daily basis, a place just beyond this one, a small segment of space that served as a window to the world. From his perch there, each city had its own fundamental haze blurring its buildings and beings. This mystical force field, referred to as The River of Light, or simply The River by Watchers such as Luca, formed an energy grid covering the earth.

The grid could be seen as a matrix of light, sound, and colors forming geometric patterns around the planet. Humans had attempted to observe such patterns in the study of Sacred Geometry, but the immortal Watchers watched over and recorded the changing spiritual energies of history from their posts at The River. Ever shifting, the ebbs and flows of the negative and positive life energy swirled and moved over the varied landscapes of the Earth much like waterways. Therefore, it was critical for him to witness when certain changes emerged, what energy the events causing the changes added to the collective conscious of the world, and how the energy impacted the flow of The River. Recently, this city in the northeastern part of the United States had grown darker and darker until it choked under a bout of polluted smog-like energies. To give an ironic but truthful view of history, this was the first time Salem, Massachusetts had looked this bad. Even then, the frenzy of the only spiritual pollution inspired by the hunters during the witch hunts hadn’t darkened things to this extent. The residual energy that lingered here had been built upon since and currently required his intervention.

On Earth, back in true human form, a Watcher could see through this haze to the true souls of the people revealed to him in the colors of their auras. Both systems simply mirrored each other. Just as the human body had a meridian system with vital life force energy flowing through it, the world had a similar system of passageways through which the collective life force flowed. They not only mirrored each other, but affected each other, too. On the astral plane, the integral energy of human thoughts, words, and deeds combined into the mystical force field he kept watch over. Although he’d been sent to Earth many times before, a greater sense of foreboding gripped him this time. The places where the lines of the energy grid intersected and channeled to the earth had become blocked at alarming rates here these last few days, warning of impending danger. At portals such these, the energy proved stronger in its effects on the surrounding area.

Luca felt Ahti, the Watcher who’d called him from his post, approach with a peace so strong it preceded him even as he crossed realms. He knew the moment to begin his next assignment arrived with the sound of grains of sand rubbing together, large feet pushing the granules aside with each step. A large shadow covered over the thin line of debris-filled foam along the shore. Ahti spoke to Luca in an oddly comforting voice for the exigency of his message.

“It is time, Luca. It has begun to worsen here beyond what we’d anticipated. The River of Light is polluted greatly over this region. The black forces, which some ignorantly mess with, have charged the air with a significant amount of negativity. It darkened just this morning, causing the ripple effect to the flow at this portal greater than we’d initially feared. I’ve granted humanness to many of the immortal watchers like you this time. You each know the job you have to do to help the human you’ve been assigned to. You know what is at stake. She’s soon going to  be at an inevitable crossroad, and her decisions will have a major impact on The River. Such is the human condition these days, I often feel the fate of the world is being decided with each mission.”

“Yes, Ahti, I will do my best to help to clear the portal here,” Luca assured the Watcher.

“I’m afraid this mission will not be so simple. Sometimes Watchers are called for anomalous reasons. Depending on why a Watcher was called in the first place, these exclusive missions, deviating from the norm, can be much more involved than they usually are. So, you’ll need to follow the signs without questioning them. You are a Watcher with great powers, but you also have been matched to Kamillia for unique reasons not yet revealed. Trust, Luca. You understand why it has to be so. I cannot explain any further at the present, though, without jeopardizing your part in the whole.”

“She is still unaware of her heritage, sir?”

“Very much so. The history you were given of your charge when summoned was very much up-to-date despite the haste of its delivery. You know Kamillia has been back in her hometown now for over a year. The first threats toward her by the Mastema began a few weeks ago. Yet, Kamillia is a strong woman, despite being unaware of all she is. The Mastema have been playing with spells of black magic they do not truly understand. With their frail human knowledge, they do not realize their actions are slowly condemning the world. The men lust for power and material possessions and, in their ignorance, have succumbed to any means necessary to obtain such things. The Mastema have become mere pawns to the evil they have played with. The demons rule the men now. Therefore the portal here has darkened. The nature of the depravity they have invoked goes beyond what we have seen in centuries. The negative energy of their thoughts and actions greatly interrupts the flow of The River. If cleared, their so-called powers will be gone as the demons and dark energy cultivates for centuries will be forced out.”

Luca turned to look at the Watcher, whom he trusted enough to do whatever was asked of him with blind faith in the protector’s wisdom. A smirk marred his features as a fleeting thought occurred to him: for one so great and wise, the man in front of him looked the part. Watchers were all stuck at the age their lives had ended on Earth. Ahti had reached a wise old seventy-nine when he was granted his immortality, so he appeared  like the mage he was with his long beard comprised of scraggly gray hairs. The elder served a bigger role among them as messenger and guide. Unlike him, Luca’s final life had been cut short, making him an eternal twenty-five. He had no memories of his time alive. Like all Watchers, his past lives had been erased. Along the same reasoning, he was not allowed the knowledge as to why he had been chosen.

The sky behind the formidable figure of Ahti lurked with unnatural shades of jade and agate, creating an ominous darkness resembling the coming of a storm.

“What is with the sky?”

Ahti turned so rapidly, his cloak of white rippled like the white caps on the angry water. “I do not know. Go. Now!”

In Salem for business, werewolf Kade Willis’s new hostess is an intriguing woman whose species begins with the same letter of the alphabet. She’s a WITCH. The way Loren Beck Broom gets his fur twitchy might be due to the laws of animal attraction. It might be the way she handles her magic when dark forces come calling. Or . . . she might just truly know the ins and outs of a decent lust spell that will require him to be “de-witched.”

Loren Beck Broom felt a disturbance in the air and exhaled a long, slow breath. It was no meteorological ripple that she noted. Something more out of the ordinary than the usual out-of-the-ordinary stuff was causing a flux in the atmosphere. The back of her neck had chilled up.
She tossed a look to the front door of her establishment, then glanced to the roll-top desk where the few guests that came her way registered. Taking her time, she walked to the door, flipped the switch beside it that turned on a small vacancy sign, and stepped out on the porch.
Eyes closed, she sent her feelers out.
The newcomer was male, she sensed, and around thirty-years old. Strong, in the way he pushed through the dark. Steel-willed, for taking on Salem at this time of year.
More description filled in as if the guy stood right beside her. Tall. Handsome. With the confidence of a physician or an attorney.
She stopped there. If her new visitor was the latter, she could look forward to complaints. Bed was soft. Breakfast took too long. Coffee wasn’t hot enough. The rooms were too frilly for any self-respecting man to make himself at home in. Could he get meals 24/7? Did she have an aspirin for his after-flight hangover?
But that wasn’t quite all. Something else underscored those easier to read things about this customer. What was it?
Raising her right hand, she drew an invisible symbol in the air and opened her eyes to study it, aware of something else woven in the wind blowing through her thick black curls. There was a trace of sulfur in that wind.
Two steps forward took her to the front steps. The presence of sulfur was never good, which made this a bad wind, with trouble written all over it. She was almost sure her new guest wasn’t the cause of this new ripple in the night, per se, though he was likely part of the disturbance. In any case, the three blocks he was hiking to get to her were about to turn into the longest three blocks of his life if he wasn’t careful.

2.      Books. Does
that surprise you? Hehe
3.      Pets. I love

with my fiancé and our daughter, or just one-on-one time with either of them. I
don’t care if it’s at home or out. “Us time” is always magical.

5.      House
planning. Sounds weird, I know. But I love looking at houses for sale,
especially ones with floor plans, and imagining what furniture would go in it,
themes, and yes, even making my own floorplans. I have considered doing
interior decorating, and haven’t yet ruled out chasing that path.

She’s one powerful Goddess, with acolytes she loves as children. They’re her coven, and she will protect them however she can. She is Hecate. As she wills, So Mote It Be.

This inclusion tells the tale of a powerful coven in Salem. They face off against Bokors, demons and fellow witches. Will the power of their Goddess be enough to protect them as they fight to keep Salem safe? Will the women who lead them get the love they desire? Or will they burn in the fires that condemned their ancestors so many years ago?

Darkness
surrounded her, smoke and the metallic scent of blood filled her nostrils.
Panicked screams and bellows echoed around her as she fumbled about. She
couldn’t tell which form she was in, human or stag, she was simply overwhelmed.
Out of nowhere, fiery red eyes appeared in front of her. White fangs gnashed
together in a sadistic grin. The figure came closer, allowing her to see it
clearer. Wrinkled skin cracked and oozed as the blackened flesh moved. The foul
apparition had been born of fire, she was sure, brought here to destroy and
devour. Large, leathery wings sprouted from its back, the bony frames licked by
flames that seemed to come from the creature itself. It was a nightmare
summoned from the bowels of Hell, just one of many. If she didn’t stop it,
they’ d consume the world, at the word of one scorned witch. She needed to get
to the root of the problem, Hilana, before it was too late.
“Morgan!”
She opened her eyes at Caleb’s call, his face
filling her field of vision. He pursed his lips and frowned, and it took her a
moment to realize she must have fallen asleep and called out in a dream.
“Morgan, you were having a pretty bad
nightmare, what happened?”
“It wasn’t just a dream; it was a
foreshadowing.”
“That bad, huh?”  Caleb sat on the window seat next to
her.
“I don’t know what Hilana will promise them,
but the demons will devour the world for her. She’s beyond seeking simple
revenge. She has been twisted by her own magic and foul attitude into something
truly evil.”
Caleb whistled. “So it’s a good thing Junie
returned while you were sleeping.”
Morgan sat upright. “What did she find out?”
“You’re right, she isn’t just after simple
revenge. Junie was able to get close enough to the sigils to look them up in
the books now she’s back. It’s not looking good. They’re cacodemon sigils. She
thinks Hilana will trade them free reign to create havoc, as long as they first
destroy everyone who has done her harm.”
Morgan’s throat constricted that the mention
of cacodemons.  “She’s crazy.”
Caleb nodded. “That was Siobhan’s diagnosis
as well.”
“When does Junie think Hilana will summon
them?”
“At the full moon on Friday.”
“Damn. That doesn’t give us long. Any
suggestions on preventing the summons to begin with?”

“You mean besides burning down the house with
Hilana in it?”

Award winning, bestselling author Phoenix
Johnson has always been intrigued by the written word. Even when she was a
young girl, she usually had her nose stuck in at least one book, and her need
to read would drive her to peruse the back of the same cereal box each morning
at breakfast. Paranormal and fantasy captured her heart, with tales about
dragons, magic, and fanciful creatures sweeping her away to a wonderful new
world where she felt she truly belonged.
Phoenix Johnson has had her nose to the
grindstone, working to make her name known. With only a few months left to the
end of her Bachelor of Arts Degree, she is eager for more time to focus purely
on her writing.  Phoenix is extremely
excited to see where her writing career takes her next.

“At the Women’s College of Salem, Sarah hopes to meet like-minded students of The Craft. But after joining a coven, the other girls seem to have it in for her and she can’t figure out why . . .

. . . until Tanner, the new, cute IT guy, helps uncover her family’s dark secret. Sarah will have to learn to trust Tanner if she’s to survive a killer freshman year. And Tanner must accept his paranormal powers to save Sarah when the blood moon rises at Samhain, the witch’s Halloween.”

Go to Salem, they urged.
You’ll love it, they promised.
It will be fun, they said.
They lied.
Tanner rubbed
his eyes and tried to focus on a string of computer code. Some fun. He could
have stayed in Alabama if he’d wanted to be stuck in a boring tech job.
Sighing, he shoved out of his chair and walked to the window. In the darkness
of late afternoon, a light shone in the library next door on the campus quad.
She was there
again. Sitting alone at a table, her long, brown hair swept to one side, her
enchanting profile glowing like a halo of warmth against the New England chill.
Damn, the unbearable cold had turned his brain to poetic mush. She was just a
girl, and he’d had more than his fair share of dating last year. Before
everything had turned to shit.
He’d prove she
was nothing special. Tanner abruptly closed down the computer, grabbed his
coat, and walked down the semi-deserted hallway. “See you in the morning,” he
called to his boss.
Mr. Higginboth
didn’t bother looking up from his hunched position over a computer. “Night,” he
mumbled, pushing up wire-framed glasses from the bridge of his nose.
Tanner
shuddered. Would that be him thirty years from now? Buried in an academic
environment, wearing old-man woolen sweaters and deciphering endless lines of
computer code with steadily declining eyesight? Not how he’d envisioned his
future. He closed his eyes and remembered the thrill of catching his one and
only touchdown pass—the cheering crowd, outrunning the opposing team’s
defenders, the ball tucked safely in his arms, and crossing the goal line.
Score!
How things had
changed in one year. And not for the good.
Bitter wind
slammed into his body as he exited the tech lab. He clutched his leather jacket
tighter, glumly trying to imagine how much colder Salem would be in winter.
Back home, he’d still be in short sleeves and enjoying sunshine.
His right knee
throbbed, as it always did in cold weather. Damn nuisance. You’d think he was
ninety instead of nineteen. He walked as quickly as he could with the bum knee,
grateful for the warmth of the library as he pushed open its heavy, wooden
doors. The cozy scent of old books and weathered oak lifted his sour mood.
Quickly, he
scanned the towering rows of books and the whispering crowd of students at the
center tables. In the far right corner, on the second level, she was bent over a book, her long hair
a veil, covering her face.
Tanner inwardly
groaned as he climbed the stairs, trying to avoid wincing at the darting pain
needling through his knee. A gaggle of girls passed, shooting him sly glances.
He winked at the boldest one, who had flaming red hair, dressed all in black,
and sported a large pentacle pendant. Back home, she’d have stuck out like a
black widow on a bed of white linen. But at the Women’s College of Salem, she
was part of a notable minority that flaunted a belief in witchcraft. She smiled,
but her eyes held no warmth. She turned her back and elbowed the girl nearest
her orbit. “He’s cute but . . . all crippled up. Too bad.”
His face warmed.
The remark had been whispered, but it was loud enough to carry—as the girl no
doubt intended. He was used to being called cute, but not to people wondering
at his injury. At least, not that he’d overheard. Way to build his confidence
as he approached the girl to whom he’d been drawn for the past few weeks.
He squared his
shoulders, determined not to let the offhand comment ruin his plans. If he’d
learned nothing else from his old football coach, it was to persevere, no
matter the obstacles. Still, he was used to outmaneuvering three-hundred-pound
linebackers, not pathetically limping like an old man as he climbed a set of
stairs. All while a group of girls insulted his dignity.
The girls went
their way, chattering, never sparing a glance behind them. Amazing—not in a
good way—that he’d gone from a rising football star to nearly invisible.
Different. A tiny flash of red on the floor
caught his attention. Tanner bent over, picking up a small, black feather with
a skein of red floss clumsily woven into its spine. A few inches of the red
thread formed a tiny circle, perhaps large enough for a small wrist. Some kind
of Native American bracelet, perhaps? He looked around, but nobody caught his
eye. It probably belonged to one of the girls who had laughed at him. Too bad.
He wasn’t going to search them out and ask. He shrugged and stuffed it into his
jacket pocket, intending to throw it in the nearest trashcan.
At last, he
reached the top. Tanner gripped the railing, collecting his breath and his
pride. Once both were again intact, he walked toward the mystery girl, his
footsteps creaking on the old pine flooring, but she didn’t look up from the
book held in her hands, a heavy, dusty tome—Salem
Witch Trials and Mass Hysteria: 1692—1693
.
Tanner flicked
his index finger against the book’s spine to get her attention. “A little light
reading?” he joked.
Eyes as gray as
a November sky regarded him with a decided chill. He was definitely striking
out with the ladies today.
Her voice was
smooth and cold as ice. “Nothing light
about the killing of innocent women.”
“That’s what you
call irony.” Tanner pulled out a chair across from her and sat, uninvited. “You
writing a history paper on the trials?”
She cocked her
head to one side and regarded him with a raised brow. “Yes. Do you need to use
this book?”
“Oh, no, I’m not
a student.”
Wariness
sharpened her delicate features, and her fingers gripped the edge of the table.
Real smooth there, Tanner. Now you’re scaring the women away.
“Then who—”
“It’s okay,” he
said quickly. “I work here. In the IT department. My uncle—Ralph Landers—is the
college dean.”
Her death grip
on the book relaxed a fraction.
“I can prove
it.” He dug in his coat pocket and fished out his employee ID. “See? I’m
totally legit.” He slapped the card on the table and slid it toward her.
“Tanner Adams,”
she read aloud, comparing his face to the awkward employee picture. “Computer
tech, WCS.”
The way she said
his name with her proper, reserved New England inflection was strangely sexy.
She pushed his ID card back on the table, and their fingers touched. Chills,
the good kind, vibrated through his entire body.
